A new tasting experience from creators of the must-do Lydgate Farms Chocolate Tour. Get the inside scoop from our friendly beekeepers, who will teach, taste, and demonstrate to you all of the magic of apis mellifera ⏤ the honey bee.
Put on bee-suits and see inside an active beehive on this safe, comfortable, and fun family activity (ages 6+). Taste fresh honey from the comb, the way it was first enjoyed. All in a beautiful and tropical farm setting on Kauai’s East side.
Held in a special corner of Lydgate Farms never before open to the public, this tour is a perfect way to get deeper into your knowledge of Hawaiian agriculture, learning new and fascinating things about one of the worlds favorite foods — honey!

Check in details:
Follow directions to Lydgate Farms (or search Lydgate Farms Chocolate Tours on Google). When turning off Olohena Rd., follow the signs up the farm (about 1/4 mile), driving slowly through our neighborhood. You’ll be greeted upon arrival and directed to our parking area.
Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to tour start time.

What to bring:
Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, comfortable closed-toe walking shoes. Sandals not recommended.
Bee suit and large umbrellas provided for use on the tour.
Natural botanical bug spray provided for mosquitos (please no DEET sprays on honey tour).
Complete participation waiver before the tour (you will get a link sent to you with your booking confirmation).
Special Requirements: This outdoor farm tour includes walking and standing. You must be able to comfortably walk ~100 yards and stand for 15 minutes. You must also be able to put on a full body bee suit without assistance. Call 808-821-1857 to explore accessibility or special needs.
